Hi, I’m Thomas Galati
I completed my Bachelor of Information Technology at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) in 2015. I majored in Game Development and Entrepreneurship, learning all about various aspects of game development, including programming, scripting, 3D modelling, project management, and marketing, among many others.
I resumed studies at UOIT, and completed my Master of Science (Computer Science) in 2017. Under my supervisor, Dr. Pejman Mirza-Babaei, my research focus was on identifying affordable data-driven user research solutions for small-size gaming studios. You can read my thesis here. During this research period I became experienced in applying games user research methodologies, such as interviews, focus groups, telemetry gathering, and data analysis, to name a few.
Currently, I’m a Game Data Analyst at Gameloft Toronto, and I have been since 2018. My primary focus here is using player tracking data to help identify and solve user issues at scale.
I currently live in Toronto, but have resided in Oshawa and Montréal.
In my spare time, I enjoy swimming, hockey, video games, and board games.
